We address a critical need…
Neelu is dedicated to providing clean drinking water and hygiene education to rural schools in Telangana, India. Our current focus is the school in Peddapalli, where 397 students aged 5 to 17 face daily challenges due to the lack of basic water and sanitation facilities.
Why It Matters
Students currently drink unsafe water, often contaminated with pollutants like fluoride and fall ill leading to missing school or school dropouts.
A lack of sanitation and hygiene education leads to diseases such as diarrhea, typhoid, and urinary infections, affecting health and school attendance.
…BY INSTALLING A WATER PURIFICATION PLANT
Our Objectives:
- Create a healthy and supportive learning environment, reducing dropout rates and improving educational outcomes.
- Provide safe drinking water by installing water purification systems.
- Construct clean handwashing and drinking facilities near the school latrines.
- Raise awareness on the importance of hygiene and practices like handwashing and proper hydration.
- Promote sustainable water use through training on recycling wastewater for gardens and other uses.

objectives for a better future
SDG 4: Quality Education

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Clean water and sanitation are essential for creating a supportive learning environment. Through our work, we aim to:
- Reduce School Dropouts: Girls and boys can stay in school, as access to water and sanitation eliminates barriers like long treks for water and inadequate hygiene facilities.
- Improve Learning Conditions: Students can focus on their studies in a healthier environment, free from waterborne illnesses.
- Empower Girls: By addressing hygiene and menstrual health, we help ensure girls attend school regularly, breaking cycles of inequality.
With clean water and proper hygiene education, we’re building a foundation for better academic performance and brighter futures.
SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation

Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
Access to clean water and sanitation is at the heart of our mission. Our projects contribute to SDG 6 by:
- Providing Safe Drinking Water: Installing water purification systems ensures students and staff have access to clean and safe water.
- Promoting Hygiene Practices: Through workshops, we teach handwashing, proper hydration, and menstrual hygiene, preventing disease and fostering healthier habits.
- Implementing Sustainable Water Use: We incorporate water recycling techniques to reduce waste and promote environmental sustainability.
Our efforts go beyond providing facilities—we aim to foster long-term behavioral change and create a ripple effect of sustainable water practices in the community.
the location of the school
